Inheritance is a problem?

Andi had been a homeowner 10 years ago...But, life happened. Andi found herself with a growing family, in a 2 bedroom apartment and a less than desirable credit score. Andi knew that she wanted to own a home again 1 day, but wasn't sure how this would take place. Unexpectedly, Andi's father had died during this time. Her father did not have a will in place, so Andi and her brother had inherited the house that their grandparents had built. They both could have easily decided to  walk away from the family house at this point, but Andi knew the value of this neighborhood and wasn't willing to let potential slip away.
